Nand Installation Failed

luis1987luis1987 Posts: 18WeTek Community Member
Hi all!
I'm trying to install Librelec through a NAND installation but it does not work. I download the zip file, exctracted the content in the microsd card (FAT32) and used the toothpick method. Everytime I receive an error with OTA failed.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

    Hi all!
    What am I doing wrong?

To start, you are installing in on NAND.
This will void the warranty. So what i recommend is to put Android OS again on NAND

Download this tool, to format your SDcard
    https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Second you need to download these files 4 files
    https://mega.nz/#F!g8gzgQ5T!YgjBMc1Uqi-qYdt-xoepPg

If you download as ZIP file extract it until you get 4 files listed like this
    - DB-J226-wetekplay2-master-ota-2016-12-22_12-53-18
    - dtb
    - factory_update_param
    - recovery

After you have copied the files to your SDcard follow these steps
    - Insert the SDcard with the files in your device.
    - Disconnect your power supply.
    - Underneath your Device, you have an update button. (Small Hole)
    - With the update nail provided in your purchase, press that update button
    - While pressing, connect your power supply now
    - Keep pressing the button for 10 more seconds.

After the 10 seconds the installation will start automatically.

You can watch this video to help you apply the steps o mentioned above.

Not to run LE, use an SDcard.

Choose an image you desire for LE, you can take a look into the LE section
    http://www.wetekforums.com/v/index.php?p=/categories/libreelec-wp2

    Choose an SDcard image.

use https://win32-disk-imager.br.uptodown.com/windows to write the image on your SDcard

    best regards

This official LibreELEC Wiki will help here:

    WeTek - Installing to NAND/eMMC

Remember to unzip the LibreELEC .zip file and put the extracted contents on to a FAT32 formatted SD card.
