New "used" WeTek Core! What should I do for a "factory/original default settings" setup? Upgrade?

Hi!

So, I will receive my 2nd-hand, used, supposedly in mint/like new condition WeTek Core, tomorrow...

I have no previous experience with the whole Android TV Box "universe" and don't know where to start, once I open the parcel...

Should I revert to a "factory/original default settings"? How? Where? Should I upgrade go the latest firmware/software? How does this work?

I want to have it as "stock/original" as possible and start from there, with all the setup, installing, customizing and personalization.

What do I have to do? Which are the first steps I should take to make this possible.

Let me know.

Thanks in advance!

You all have an AWESOME 2017!!

Greetings,

Daniel

The device should be already with the factory parameters / settings.

If you which to proceed with that anyway, just follow these steps

    - Disconnect your power supply.
    - Underneath your Device, you have an update button. (Small Hole)
    - With the update nail provided in your purchase, press that update button
    - While pressing, connect your power supply now
    - Keep pressing the button for 10 more seconds.

The device will boot into the recovery menu.

From the recovery menu, select wipe data / factory reset.

Regarding the Update, we always recommend to use the newest version, to enjoy the new features our device can offer.

You core, has an applications "WeUpdate" where you can look online for new updates, if available, you will see all the info, you can although install it manually.

You can have more information about the most recent update here
