Hi everyone

We're proud to finally announce the release of Android 6.0.1 for WeTek Hub.

As many of Android users knows, Android 6 is big step for such devices as it bring 4K support for those streaming apps.

WeTek Hub + Android 6.0 Marshmallow + Kodi 17

To update, proceed the normal way.
Go to WeUpdate app.

Install the update.

You will need to install a pre-update, v.2.0.3 before install the final update to Android 6.01

Clean Install
https://mega.nz/#F!R4oHAapR!XK7h6Ig-s3IfEaZpjQkeRA

If you are not able to perform a clean installation through the Update Nail process,

Let your device boot, and without removing the SDcard with the files, follow these steps

Go to Settings (3 horizontal bars button on the remote)
More
Storage and Reset
Reboot to Recovery

Once the device boots, will start the clean installation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please don't downgrade the device from Android 6 to Android 5!
You'll brick the device!
The system files are different and it will brick the device

Enjoy :)

Nice but when for play2 ?

    Regards

    Soon™

But seriously, it will come, just wait a bit more. The Play 2 has something that the Hub doesn't so it needs more work.

Really, nice work guys! :) The update works very well! Device is very responsive and general performance are a lot better than Lollipop. Also the bug (http://www.wetekforums.com/v/index.php?p=/discussion/29619/netflix-or-ethernet-driver-problem#latest) that I had with Netflix seems to be fixed ( @ChristianTroy grazie mille e ottimo lavoro davvero e complimenti )Thanks guys and congrats ;)

@JayceOoi Sorry for the trouble. Might be something on the Server that we need to check
Meanwhile here is the pre-update file

Just reboot to Recovery and Clean install with the DB-J42-wetekhub-marshmallow-ota-2017-03-23_16-14-06.zip from a USB Stick - remember to Wipe Cache's and Partitions before installing.

HINT: I've had better video playback results when using SPMC 16.6.0 (Kodi Jarvis) and Amcodec Hardware acceleration.

    http://spmc.semperpax.com/

However black screen will be an issue when skipping thru video with SPMC / Amcodec.

To be brutally honest LibreELEC Kodi Krypton is a far superior Kodi release than any Android Kodi running on the Hub.

Seems that the update broke something for streaming apps like Amazon Video (the standard android version) and Italian RaiPlay:
Regard Amazon the playback seems to play but then the app crash, RaiPlay instead is not even starting.
BTW the Hub seems smoother than before!

Is it only me? The back button on the remote doesn't work in kodi 17.1? Works everywhere else but not in kodi. Tried assign it with keymap editor but it doesn't register the button att all and the assignation times out.
