Sound becomes randomly mute under spdif (3.1)

Big trouble here with latest OTA (3.1). Sound becomes randomly mute for few seconds or few minutes under spdif. Works fine under hdmi.

I suspect an overheating problem because everything works fine after a period of inactivity (few hours), but when the troubles start, nothing improve it (reboot, unplug etc..)

Maybe a faulty WP2 ?

Can you test if the problem occurs after you use weTV?

    Hello,
I have the same problem somtime.
I found why. The problem come from my Philips android tv.
To solve it, I just unplug the power of my tv and restart it.
    Then everything goes fine .

And if you do wait for a while, when you come back, the same channel works normally?
And it starts failing over time?

Yes. I think this problem is coming from HDMI CEC. (Philips name it easy link). The Tv has android 4.4.2 and sometime it is very buggy ....

    That is strange.
To be sure you might need to try with a different TV.

No. I changed cable and tv, with no luck.

I used Logitech Z5500, maybe some incompatibility with this specific amplifier ?

The only way to know is for you to use another equipment. An AVR for instance.
If HDMI works well, it may be your spdif interface, your settings or indeed the receiver.
    Try with a different receiver.

The receiver works well with other device (even on same input). I'll try to find an AVR, but if somebody could confirm (or not) an issue with Z5500 it will be great ;)

I will try under OpenElec to exclude a faulty WP2.

With OpenElec, things are better : The issue is still present at the beginning and then the "mute periods" becoming shorter and less frequent until it disappears completely.

You will have to try with a different receiver, to be sure.
